Installation

Dariusz Duma's PPA has created a new distribution for Ubuntu 18.04, Linux Mint 19.10 and its derivative versions.

1.) Open the terminal by using Ctrl + Alt + T keyboard shortcuts or searching the terminal from the application menu. When it is open, run the command to add PPA:

[linuxidc@linux:~/www.linuxidc.com] $sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway

When sudo, the user is prompted for a password (no asterisk feedback), and then press Enter to continue.

2.) if an older version is installed, use Software Updater to upgrade it or run the command in the terminal to install or upgrade the image viewer:

[linuxidc@linux:~/www.linuxidc.com] $sudo apt update [linuxidc @ linux:~/www.linuxidc.com] $sudo apt install gthumb

Unloading

1. Delete PPA

To remove PPA, open Software and updates and navigate to the other Software tab, or run the command in the terminal:

[linuxidc@linux:~/www.linuxidc.com] $sudo apt update & & sudo apt install gthum

2. Delete gThumb

You can delete the gThumb with the following command:

[linuxidc@linux:~/www.linuxidc.com] $sudo apt remove gthumb gthumb-data
