Disable the hot add / hot plug feature in the vsphere virtual machine
If it is vSphere, disable NIC Hotplug
The user can use the system tray icon to eject the Ethernet controller.

To disable this feature, power off the virtual machine.
After powering off, right-click the virtual machine, and then click Edit Settings.
On the VM options tab, expand Advanced, and then click Edit configuration.
In the lower left corner, enter devices.hotplug. On the right, enter false. Then click add.
Then click OK several times to close the window.
You can then start VM.
