IIS (Internet Information Server) is a Web (web page) service component, which includes Web server, FTP server, NNTP server and SMTP server, which are used for web browsing, file transfer, news service and mail sending, respectively. It makes it easy to publish information on the network (including the Internet and local area network).

I. the addition of IIS

Please go to the "Control Panel", select "add / remove programs → add / remove Windows components", remove the small hook in front of "Internet Information Services (IIS)" (if any), re-check and follow the prompts to complete the addition of IIS components. The IIS components added in this way will include all four services, including Web, FTP, NNTP, and SMTP.

II. Operation of IIS

When the IIS is added successfully, enter the "start → program → management tool → Internet service manager" to open the IIS manager. For services with the words "stopped", right-click on them and select "start" to open them.
