Three years ago, Adobe announced plans to stop supporting Flash Player by the end of 2020. Adobe has now officially announced a specific date, and it will end its support for Flash on December 31, 2020, the last day of this year.

After this date, Adobe will not release any updates or security patches for Flash. In addition, Adobe will remove all archives from earlier versions of Flash Player from the official website and block Flash-based content from running.

IT House learned that after Adobe announced plans to stop supporting Flash Player, Google Chrome banned the Flash plug-in by default in its browser and continued to inform users that it would stop supporting it by the end of the year. Microsoft Edge is also in line with Google's practice after using the Chromium kernel, while Apple's Safari will eliminate Flash even earlier. Mozilla said last month that Firefox 84, which will be released in December, will completely remove support for Flash.

I believe that many early domestic Internet users are no stranger to Flash, including the rise of Flash animation and web version of Mini Game (4399). Until today, the content on many websites still needs to be displayed through the Flash plug-in, but its features such as insecurity, disclosure of privacy and inability to completely terminate the process service have always been criticized.
