The official website of rancher is available.
Now that you have the official website, why read my tutorial? Because access to rancher's official website is extremely slow; endless, unexplained 404; and insult my experience from time to time.
I do not know whether the reasons given above are sufficient. If the viewer doesn't believe it, you can challenge and practice your courage if you have nothing to do.
Rancher is a web console for managing K8s, which allows non-operators to operate K8s without typing commands, just by clicking on the page.
2 rancher image download
Before downloading the rancher image, you must ensure that docker is installed correctly. For the installation and setup of Docker, please refer to my other article, "Docker explodes easily in one minute". The image download statement is as follows. Select the v2.3.3 version of rancher here.
Docker pull rancher/rancher:v2.3.3
3 rancher start
Start rancher and bind local ports 80 and 443. Please make sure that these two ports are not occupied.
Docker run-d-- restart=unless-stopped\-- name=rancher\-p 80:80-p 443 purl 443-v / usr/local/rancher:/usr/local/rancher\ rancher/rancher:v2.3.3
Open the browser, enter the IP (personal IP:10.110.101.103) of the server where rancher resides, and press enter:
If you come out of this interface, the rancher starts successfully.
4 rancher Settin
4.1 rancher administrator password settin
Set the password for the administrator "admin" in the browser page shown above.
4.2 rancher server URL settings
After setting the administrator password, the next step is to go to the page where the rancher server URL is set. It's fine by default.
4.3 rancher internationalization Settings
Rancher default display is English, if you want to set Chinese students can choose "simplified Chinese".
Since then, the installation and setup of rancher has been completed.
