Introduction of EXCHANGE virtual directory function

To put it simply, a virtual directory is an application published by a CAS server. (corresponding to the directory in IIS)

Here is a brief description of the functions of each virtual directory:

1.OWA

Provide WEB mail access function.

2.ECP

Provide management functions, exchange control panel.

3.AUTODISCOVER

Automatic discovery service

4.activesync

Provide mobile device access

5.EWS

Exchange web service

Exchange Web Services (EWS) is an application program interface (API) that allows programmers to access Microsoft Exchange items such as calendars, contacts and email.

6.powershell

This is the powershell function (including PowerShell Web Access, which uses browsers to manage PowerShell remotely based on Web)

7.OAB

Offline address book service.

Use contact information when outlook uses caching mode or when it is disconnected from the exchange server.

Polling interval: 480 minutes.

8.MAPI

Information application program interface (Messaging Application Programming Interface) to manage MAPI clients, such as whether OUTLOOK uses EXCHANGE connections.

Tips:

Disabling MAPI access to mailboxes prevents users from using Outlook to access the Exchange mode of their mailboxes.

It does not prevent users from using other protocols (for example, POP3, IMAP4, or Exchange ActiveSync) in web or Outlook to access Outlook on their mailboxes.
