Using collaboration capabilities in VMware Horizon

Horizon version 7.4 adds a session collaboration feature that allows users to share desktop sessions with colleagues. This article introduces this feature.

Current test version: Horizon 7.11.0.

Demand

User 1:W1 (username w1@msft.com)

User 2:TEST (username test@msft.com)

W1 has a problem using the computer, or if the W1 report has something you want TEST to see (W1's computer), you can use the "collaborate" feature.

Method

(1) use the right mouse button to click the

In the pop-up dialog box, enter TEST's account test@msft.com, press enter, and click copy to send the collaboration link to TEST.

(2) when TEST logs in to Horizon Client, there will be a "W1 collaborative desktop session", as shown in figure 3.

(3) double-click to enter the collaboration interface, and you will see the interface of W1, as shown in figure 4. In the cooperative state, TEST can see the operation display of W1, but TEST cannot operate the computer of W1.

Figure 4 shows the interface seen by test on the left and W1 operation on the right.

(4) on the W1 computer, you can see that the TEST has been connected, as shown in figure 5. You can click end Action to end remote collaboration.
