After the edge server prerequisites are ready, the topology is published on the Lync Server 2013 front-end server. Due to the limited public network IP address in the environment, a public network IP address will be used for edge server publishing.

A public network IP address is published, and the IP address is not routable.

1. Open the start menu on the Lync Server 2013 front-end server and select Topology Builder

4. Right-select New Edge Pool

6. Select a single computer pool, enter the FQDN name of the Edge Server, and next

7. Check to use a FQDN and IP address, and next

8. Check the public network IP address of this edge pool, which is translated by NAT. Next

9. Enter an external FQDN name, next

10. Enter the IP address of the network card in the logic, and next

11. Enter the IP address of the logical external network card, and next

21. Copy the zip file to the C root directory of the edge server
