The Everspin MR25H40-4Mb SPI serial interface MRAM is suitable for non-volatile memory in medical devices. For example, in medical breathing, the MRAM of 4Mb (MR25H40) can be used to store operating software program variables. Data stored in MRAM is saved during ventilator shutdown.

MR25H40 is a family of 4194304-bit magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) devices organized into 524288 8-bit words. They are ideal memory solutions for applications that must use a small number of I / O pins to quickly store and retrieve data and programs. They have serial EEPROM and serial flash compatible read / write timing, no write latency, and unlimited read / write life. Unlike other serial memories, with the MR2xH40 series, both reads and writes can occur randomly in memory with no latency between writes.

The MR25H40 series provides highly reliable data storage over a wide range of temperatures. MR25H40 (40MHz) has options for industrial (- 40 °to + 85 °C), extended (- 40 °to 105 °C) and AEC-Q100 stage 1 (- 40 °C to + 125 °C) operating temperature range. Both are packaged in a 5 x 6mm DFN 8-pin package. The pin is compatible with serial SRAM,EEPROM, flash and FeRAM products. The MR25H40 series is a series of MRAM SPI interfaces. The memory array adopts chip selection (CS), serial input (SI), serial output (SO) and serial peripheral interface (SPI) bus serial clock (SCK) four-pin interface, and the logic organization is 512Kx8. EVERSPIN MRAM implements a common command subset of serial interface EEPROM and serial interface flash memory components. This allows MRAM SPI to replace these components in the same slot and interoperate on the shared SPI bus. Compared to other serial memory alternatives, MRAM SPI provides excellent write speed, unlimited durability, low standby and operating power, as well as simple and reliable data retention.
