Windows Server 2008R2 roaming user configuration

A roaming user profile is a server-based user profile that is downloaded to the local computer when the roaming user logs in and updates both locally and on the server when the user logs out.

Roaming enables users in the domain to log in to any host in the existing forest without changing their working environment.

Experimental environment: PC5 domain controller, creating roaming user stu

Create shared files on the share permissions settings everyone full control

Configure the user file path in user Properties-profile

\\ hostname\ share file name\% username%

When user stu logs in on any computer in the domain, the computer shows that it is a roaming user

Note: go back to PC5 to view the shared folder of roaming users previously set to find files. Stu.V2 administrators must use administrator privileges to access files.
