Hidden Zone for disk cleanup-Driverstore folder
Folders with the directory c:\ windows\ system32\ driverstore are rarely involved when cleaning up the disk. DriverStore is used by Windows to store third-party drivers, and when you install a driver, the corresponding files will be copied to DriverStore. When you uninstall the driver, the file will be deleted from DriverStore. If you upgrade the driver, Windows will keep the old driver so that you can roll back if there is a problem. But in the long run, it will leave a lot of drivers, sometimes up to dozens of GB.
So how to clean up this folder? There are two ways: 1. Use the PNPUTIL command line provided by Windows, but it is troublesome to use. Using the driver store explorer program, it can be simply understood as PNPUTIL with gui added.
It is recommended to use Driver store explorer for cleaning (if it really takes up a lot of space), but there is one thing to note: do not select the "FORCE DELETION" option, or it will be deleted as well, and the driver will have to be reinstalled.
I'm too lazy to take a screenshot here. If you need it, search it for yourself.
