Netflix announces the new tv animation (Netflix provides its own animation series for Line's lovely mascot)
Line Friends is a group of cute characters who used to be stickers for Line messaging apps and now has their own Netflix series. As you know, this line is very large in other parts of Asia. Brown, Connie, Sally, Moon, James and other "Line Friends" characters even have their own products (the official store opened in New York's Times Square a few years ago) and mobile games.
In its statement, Netflix said the series would be a CG animated nonverbal farce that tells the story of different friends living in the same town. "since they created stickers on the Line mobile communications project, the lovely BROWNFRIENDS role band has become a part of the daily life of many fans, and now they are more than happy to develop a broad world for various screens to meet Netflix's new audience," Netflix original animation director Aram Yacoubian said in a statement.
Although the role is still application-oriented, the Line Friends brand actually became an independent company in 2015. There is no premiere date for the show, but the streaming giant promised to release more details later. There is no word on whether BT21, a netizen club created with the famous K-Pop band BTS, will also appear in this series.
