Introduction of MP card:

In the HP Integrity Server, there is an integrated card independent of the host and the system. This card has a small integrated system (an operating environment independent of the system), which is responsible for monitoring and controlling the status of the system. This card is called GSP card or MP card (the old model is called GSP (Guardian Service Processor (GSP)) card, and the new machine is called MP card). The card is activated after the system is plugged in, regardless of whether the operating system is started or not. The card provides access to two interfaces:

(1) access through serial port. (this needs to be operated in the computer room)

(2) access through the network, that is, the login mode of lan console. (there are serial ports and network interfaces on both the GPS card and the MP card)

Let's take RX2660 as an example to introduce the management of MP. 9 (Console IOIOI) and 12 (MP LAN) in the following figure are the interfaces that can be accessed in two ways.

Introduction of two access methods: 2.1 connect through serial port

First, connect to the console serial port on the RX2660 (9 in the figure above) through the serial port line, and then connect through the terminal with a baud rate of 9600 and a data bit of 8. The port is selected according to the actual situation, as shown in the following figure:
