Displays the current time as unix time

$date +% s1443605507

Convert a fixed time to unix time

$date-d "2015-09-30 17:31:47" +% s1443605507

Convert unix time to readable time

$date-d @ 1443605507Wed Sep 30 17:31:47 CST 2015

Note: the above command output will change according to the settings of LANG

Convert unix time to formatted normal time

$date "+% F% T"-d @ 1443605507 2015-09-30 17:31:47
