Upgrade the OA version of the HP blade system

The OA of HP blade system is short for Onboard Administrator.

The OA version 3.21 of the HP blade system does not fully support the newer blade models HP BL460c G9 and H3C UIS B390 G2.

In order to achieve higher compatibility, in order to connect to the console window of the new model blade through iLO, you need to upgrade the version of OA. When upgrading, do not span too many versions at a time, which can be implemented in two steps. Upgrade to OA version 4.12 first, and then upgrade to OA version 4.50 or later.

Go to the URL https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/home and search and download the bin files hpoa412.bin and hpoa450.bin, with a file size of about 14MB.

Back up the OA configuration before upgrading the OA firmware. OA configuration backup method: click Enclosure Settings-- > Configuration Scripts-- > SHOW CONFIG, and copy and paste all the information from the pop-up page into a text file.

There are two ways to upgrade.

The first way to upgrade is to upgrade the version of OA in the browser page.

1. Upgrade from OA version 3.21 to OA version 4.12

The upgrade takes about 8 minutes. Log in again and prompt for a new version.

No VC switch alarms are found, and the switch communicates normally with the OA.

two。 Upgrade from OA version 4.12 to OA version 4.50

The method is the same as above.

If the upgraded version is not appropriate, you can force a downgrade.

The second upgrade method is to upgrade OA in front of the LCD panel operation.

Put the OA .bin file into the Fat32 U drive, insert the U disk into the OA card, and use the buttons next to the screen to operate the upgrade.
