Waze has added snow warnings to its maps app, where users can view real-time snow conditions, uncleared roads and ice warnings. Earlier, 9to 5 Google reported that the update was added on Tuesday, just in time for winter break.

According to 9to 5 Google, the snow condition feature was developed in partnership with the Virginia Department of Transportation. VDOT tweeted the news Tuesday, saying it was "excited about these new features for Wazer." Vaze also confirmed the news via Twitter and told drivers to "be vigilant when the weather is bad outside."

In a press release released by 9to 5 Google, Wazer said you can find information about snow warnings in dangerous weather and open roads.
