Google's Nest Hub Max will be released on September 9th.
Nest Hub Max, Google's largest smart display, will launch September 9 in the US, UK and Australia. Hub Max announced at Google I/O that Google officially announced the name of its smart home product Nest.
The $229 device comes with a 10-inch display, which is much larger than the existing Nest Hub. Like this product, Max automatically adjusts the white balance of its screen to give the illusion of printed paper when displaying photos. You can watch YouTube, extract recipes, stream TV from YouTube TV, and control your smart home gadgets using Hub. Personally, I think the 10 "size should fit in the kitchen better than the original model and make a great cooking companion.
A new feature of Hub Max is the camera for video chat. Cameras can also let Hub Max act as a security camera when you're away from home, just like the dedicated Nest camera.
Nest Hub Max has stereo speakers and runs the same Google Assistant software as Nest Hub, as well as other smart displays that are part of the Google ecosystem, such as JBL Link and Lenovo Smart Display.
Droid Life and 9to 5 Google announced the release date of Hub Max earlier this afternoon.
