Magic Linux 2.5 Alpha 3 has now been released. According to its developers in a statement, although there was no Alpha 3 originally planned, Alpha 3 was released because the KDE 4 version of Alpha 2 was too unsatisfactory.

Magic Linux 2.5 Alpha 3 mainly updated KDE to 4.3 beta2+, and removed other KDE 4 components except kdelibs/kdebase; fixed problems where KDM could not log in and could not be recovered after locking the screen; and added Kaffeine and K3b (both beta versions).

Other changes include system software updates (such as Kernel 2.6.30, Xorg-server 1.6.1.901, GTK 2.16.2, Wine 1.1.23, Amarok 2.1and so on), bug repair, and warehouse software updates.
