For months, Microsoft has been trying to release a consumer version of its Microsoft 365 subscription. The Verge initially revealed that it planned to plan a "lifetime" version of its Teams software earlier this year. Now ZDNet reports that Microsoft's 365 consumer subscription is currently called "M365 Life".

According to reports, these subscriptions will mainly rename so-called Office 365individuals and families, but ZDNet claims that it will also bind password managers. This is especially useful for consumers, especially when Microsoft recently found that the passwords of 44 million Microsoft accounts have been repeatedly used and leaked in various databases, with up to 3 billion passwords.

Microsoft has also been developing a "lifetime" version of Microsoft Teams, including delivery locations, shared family calendars and document sharing. This may be part of Microsoft's 365 Life package.

It is not clear whether this means any significant change in the price of Office 365's existing personal and household subscriptions. It is reported that Microsoft will launch this consumer version in the spring of 2020, which is closely related to the company's Build Conference and even potential separate Surface/Windows activities, in order to further study Windows 10X and Surface Neo. After a mysterious delay, Microsoft's Surface Earbuds is also scheduled to go public in the spring.
