Twitter today launched a new shopping beta: Twitter Shops, which allows sellers to add a virtual storefront to their profiles for customers to browse. It's worth noting that Twitter Shops doesn't actually let you buy goods directly-instead, the store list links you to the company's website in an in-app browser to actually complete your purchase.

This feature is actually a more substantial version of the existing Shop Module that Twitter is already testing, but it is not a scrolling product carousel, but a larger list with dedicated profile links.

Put your store on TWITTER

With Twitter Shops, your Twitter profile will get a new "View Store" button at the top of your profile, and the company will be able to list up to 50 products for customers. The feature is available today to Select Merchants and hosting Partners in the United States and is available for free, but currently only iOS users in the United States can see these stores. Companies that launch Twitter Shops today include Verizon, Arden Cove, Latinx In Power Podcast, Gay Pride Apparel and All I Do Is Cook.

Shops represents Twitter's latest effort to expand into shopping following the above Shop Module and its Live Shopping experience.
