AIX (Advanced Interactive eXecutive) is a set of UNIX-like operating system developed by IBM based on AT&T Unix System V, which runs on the minicomputer hardware system designed by IBM proprietary Power series chips. It conforms to Open group's UNIX 98 industry standard (The Open Group UNIX 98 Base Brand) and provides comprehensive scalability for 32-bit and 64-bit applications through fully integrated parallel running support for these applications. It runs on all IBM~p series and IBM RS/6000 workstations, servers and large parallel supercomputers.
This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of the whole process of AIX advanced system management through the AIX operating system and storage management template.
