Recently, there are rumors that Google may be planning to launch a new social app that will allow a small group of users to edit pictures together and organize them in various ways. It is a combination of Snapchat filters and advanced imaging functions.

Google has clearly confirmed that it is developing such an application, but says it is currently experimenting with it. There is no guarantee that the app will eventually enter the Play store, or that all smartphone users running Android will be able to check out the app.

According to the report, Google plans to launch a new app during Google's Icano this year, but the name of the company has not yet been determined. Obviously, the new application will become a competitor to Path and allow users to create groups that share and edit pictures. This will be a collaborative social photo application that combines the ability to identify objects in photos, organize objects and apply filters.

Path is an application that provides a way for a small group of friends to share pictures and chat. Google was interested in buying Path, but was eventually sold to South Korean information giant Kakao in 2015.

Although Google continues to update and promote Allo and Duo, and although Allo is integrated with Google Assistant, the two apps do not perform well among consumers. Google faces stiff competition from Facebook, Snapchat and other giants, while YouTube remains the most successful social event among the social giants. Nevertheless, Google still attracts business users through its G Suite app, which provides colleagues with tools to collaborate on projects and record their progress.
