Skullcandy's crusher ANC will block the noise when you feel the bass.
Since 2013, Skullcandy's Crusher headphones have provided a thumping bass (literally) rumble. In 2016, the company launched a wireless version and achieved an "ultra-realistic sensory bass experience" on last year's Crusher 360. Now, the company is introducing a new model of the crusher series, which has an important addition: active noise reduction.
Crusher ANC still offers adjustable tactile low-end tones, a trademark feature of headphone cables. The official name of this new model is Adjustable Sensory Bass, which allows you to control the level of hitting via physical sliders-very similar to previous models. Skullcandy says Crusher ANC has "the widest range of adjustable inductive bass" to date. You can personalize your voice further through your company's app. The software allows you to adjust and set sound profiles so you don't have to remember your preference level.
In terms of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC, hence the name), Skullcandy's technology "actively monitors" your environment to block out any noise and make things sound their best. Like many headphones these days, Crusher ANC also has an ambient sound mode that disables noise cancellation when you touch and hold the left ear cup. This is very useful for talking to flight attendants or talking quickly with colleagues.
Skullcandy promises up to 24 hours of battery life when charged with the Crusher ANC. The headset also comes with a quick charge option that gives you 3 hours of listening time in 10 minutes. Like other noise-canceling headphones Venue, this new Crusher model also uses Tile's object-tracking technology. If you happen to lose them, you can launch the tiling application to find them. Other companies such as Bose and Sennheiser also use Tile built-in headphones, so it's not unique to Skullcandy devices.
Crusher ANC goes on sale today on Skullcandy for $319.99, the same price as many of its competitors 'flagship models. Choose Crimson or Fearless Black now, or wait until October 6, when Best Buy will offer black and tan versions for the same price.
