Global Satellite Navigation system (what are the navigation systems)

Audio commentary

Hello, everyone. The meeting will answer your questions. Many people don't know what kinds of global satellite navigation systems there are. Now let's take a look at them.

Answer:

1. As of July 2020, there are four global navigation systems. They are the Global Positioning system of the United States, the GLONASS of Russia, Galileo of the European Union and the National Development Service of the United Kingdom; and China. China's Beidou entered a period of rapid development; China's Beidou entered a period of rapid development.

2. A brief introduction to the history of global satellite development

3. On October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union successfully launched the world's first man-made earth satellite. Two young scholars in the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University found the motion Doppler shift effect between the satellite and the receiver when they received the satellite signal, and asserted that it can be used for navigation and positioning. In 1964, the United States built the first international satellite navigation system, the Meridian, which consists of six satellites for positioning and navigation of military ships at sea. In 1967, the meridian system was declassified and provided for civilian use; because the development path of China's satellite navigation system is different from that of other countries, the Beidou II built by China is a regional system. China's Beidou 3 also contains satellite-based enhanced system functions.
