Fossil's latest Wear OS watch can now make phone calls with iPhone.

Fossil fulfilled its promise to show more love to iPhone users through its fifth-generation smartwatch. Now, ongoing software updates allow the wristband to make calls on an iPhone, making it the first wearable operating system device to support calls outside Android. When the iPhone is in your pocket, you don't have to grab the Apple Watch to handle calls you can't miss.

This feature relies on proprietary fossil software, so you won't see it on a competitor's wearable operating system watch. However, it is not surprising that it will be applied to watches made by Mike Goss and other fossil brands. You must wait patiently when the upgrade may take days or weeks to reach your device. But if you can wait, if you're looking for a smartwatch that is less picky about your phone choices, it's easy to put fossils in the lead.
