Western Digital WD Black SN850X SSD is coming in.
Western Digital seems to be preparing a new flagship Gen4 NVMe solid state drive, WD Black SN850X. The drive was referenced in the certification file submitted to PCI-SIG on December 10. The drive will be equipped with a PCI-Express 4.0x4 interface, but little other information is known about the drive. We can assume that the "X" in its name may mean better performance than the current WD Black SN850. This can be achieved through newer controllers, a new generation of NAND flash memory, or better inventory cooling.
The document also mentions a drive called "SN820", which may be a successor to PC SN810, which the company sells to integrators and original equipment manufacturers.
