Nubia Red Devils 5S game phone is expected to do better in showing off cool.
Just when you thought gaming smartphones were going silent this year, not one, not even two, but three new ones. Nubia, ZTE's sub-brand, has never been silent in this niche market, launching one Red Magic game smartphone after another. The band's newest addition is Red Devils 5S. If its name isn't a deadly gift, it will build on the early Red Devils 5G. This time, it offers more internal and external cooling options.
In the Red Devils 5S, only two things actually changed. One is that it can reach 16GB of RAM, which is more than enough for games and other games. The second is an upgraded cooling system. The back cover consists of copper foil, silver and air ducts, which are said to be 56% larger than the air ducts of the Red Devil 5G.
In addition, you'll get the same features as Nubian gaming phones in early 2020, including crazy fans inside. You'll also get the same three cameras, including the 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor. Sadly, this also means that it still has the same Snapdragon 865, with no applicable variants.
If the built-in cooling system is not enough for your needs, you can also choose one of the two accessories of the Red Devil 5S to prevent excessive temperatures. There is a separate "Ice Wind Radiator Box Pro" that can fix the large fan on the back and requires a separate USB-C cable for power supply. There is also a set that not only has an external fan, but also a connectable side controller, back cover and screen protector.
The Nubian Red Devil 5S starts at 3799 yuan, or about $550, and fits 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, but the top 16GB RAM/256GB configuration costs 4999 yuan, or about $720. It's actually cheaper than the equivalent ASUS ROG phone 3, enough to save you the accessories.
