Google Pixel leaks New Image display Pixel transmitter

Evan Blass and VentureBeat leaked images of the front panel of Pixel smartphones running Android 7.1 nougat. It also shows the pixel launcher installed on Google's upcoming smartphone.

Pixel Launcher replaces the Google search bar on the home screen with a G logo, which expands when clicked. It also lacks an app drawer shortcut that swipes up to access a list of all installed apps. This leaves some room for additional application shortcuts to replace the application drawer icons.

In addition, Pixel Launcher has several other UI changes, especially in the application drawer.

Pictured is the design of the upcoming smartphone, with the power button on the side located at the top of the volume cabinet. Specs for the upcoming Pixel smartphone have been leaked for some time, indicating that the device will feature a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels and run a quad-core 2.0 GHz 64-bit processor, possibly a Snapdragon 820 or 821 CPU.

Smartphones built with HTC are said to have 4GB of RAM and a 12MP rear-facing camera with an 8MP front-facing unit. Memory may reach 32GB, and smartphones are expected to obtain IP53 certification.

The Google Pixel may start at $649, but considering that the Pixel XL will likely come with a larger 5.5-inch display, it will cost more. Google's Pixel XL could come with a more powerful 3,450mAh battery, but both smartphones will run Android 7.1 Nougat.

Google will hold an event on October 4, when the company will preview Andromeda, a hybrid version of Android and Chrome OS.
