With the continuous development of IT, the demand for security is higher and higher, so there are more and more security encryption and authentication in the application of IT. Certificate plays a vital role in encryption and identity certificate. In many application scenarios, certificates with multiple domain names are used. The following steps are how to apply for a multi-domain name certificate in MMC:

On Windows Server 2008, we can use MMC to load the certificate component to create a multi-domain name certificate application, then visit the certificate application site (certsrv) through a browser to submit a multi-domain name certificate application, and finally import the certificate on the computer to facilitate our subsequent use.

To do this, we first need to run MMC, load the certificate component, select the local computer account, navigate to the personal-certificate, right-click the certificate, and select create custom request from all tasks-Advanced actions. As shown in the following figure:

Finally, the contents of the generated req file are submitted to the certificate request page to obtain the certificate.
