Protocols and ports used by Windows Server Failover Cluster

Windows Server cluster service, which is used to control server cluster operations and manage the cluster's internal flat file database. A cluster is a collection of independent servers that combine and provide services as a separate entity. The cluster seen by the user is a separate system. If one node fails, other nodes will assume the services and data of the failed node and continue to operate. When a new node joins the cluster, all clustered applications such as SQL Server FCI must be reinstalled on that node.

The following are the network requirements that need to be configured in the Windows clustering service if the environment crosses the firewall:
