[root@localhost ~]# service iptables status

Edit the file/etc/sysconfig/iptables. In our example, we want to open ports 8080 and 9990

Open/etc/sysconfig/iptables in an editor

4. Save the/etc/sysconfig/iptables file and execute it on the terminal

[root@localhost ~]# service iptables restart

[root@localhost ~]# service iptables status
