Samsung is likely to reduce shipments of its Galaxy smartphones with screen savers. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series comes with a screen protection film, at least in most countries. However, this does not include South Korea.

Well, according to a report by Tizen Help, which is based on so-called official answers shared by Samsung community members, Samsung is likely to continue to do so in more countries.

Screen protection film may be excluded from more Galaxy smartphones in the future.

Why? Well, according to what it says, Samsung feels its smartphones have become flexible enough that they don't need a screen saver. For example, the Galaxy S22 series is the first Galaxy S series with an Armor aluminum frame. Most importantly, the front and back of all three devices contain Gorilla Glass Victus+.

But that's not the only reason. It seems that third-party screen protection film manufacturers have something to do with this. Samsung basically believes that there are plenty of third-party options on the market for people who really want a screen protection film.

According to the statement, Samsung believes that the continued use of screen protection film will cause waste. As a result, the company does not seem to plan to sell screen savers in South Korea, at least not against the Galaxy S22 series.

This practice may also spread to other markets.

This decision is likely to continue in future South Korean products and is likely to spread to other markets as well. Waste has been one of the main reasons Samsung no longer provides chargers for its smartphones, or at least that's why Samsung shares it.
