Noctua provides free LGA1700 installation and upgrade kits for specialized customers

Noctua announced yesterday that it will provide free installation and upgrade kits to consumers using Intel's LGA1700 platform. This allows customers who use existing CPU coolers for the new Intel Core CPU Alder Lake-S Series of Generation 12 to continue to use these coolers without expensive upgrades. In fact, Noctua will soon start adding updated installation kits to their existing cooler series, with the exception of the NH-L9i thin cooling system, which will be specifically revised for the LGA1700 socket series.

Since AMD launched AM2 in 2006, we have been providing customers with free installation and upgrade kits, and we are proud to continue this tradition with Intel's upcoming Alder Lake-S processors and LGA1700 sockets. Since 2005, customers will be able to upgrade most Noctua CPU coolers for free, so even coolers from 15 years ago can be used on the latest processors!

Noctuna's NM-i17xx-MP83 and NM-i17xx-MP78 SecuFirm2 ™installation kits allow users using 78 to 83 mm pitch Noctuna coolers to access LGA1700's new upgrade kit. The SecuFirm2 ™kit provides reliability, ease of installation and contact pressure, which is synonymous with the Noctua brand. It will provide a "fixed strut backplane" without any changes to the normal assembly of the cooling system. Noctua will provide a list of motherboards in its Noctua compatibility Center, which will show the compatibility of its radiator with the new LGA1700 motherboard after it goes on sale.
