Configuration Management of Azure HPC Pack

Promote HPC HEAD node host as domain controller

Log in to IaaS VM through RDP using local administrator credentials and promote the HPC HEAD node to a domain controller:

1. In Server Manager, click add roles and Features:

After installing the AD Directory domain service, select the icon tag, and then select upgrade this server to a domain controller

Upgrade IaaS VM to AD domain controller

two。 Specify options for creating a new domain in the new forest:

Define IaaS VM as the root domain controller and set the root domain name

Specify the forest level and domain level in the root domain

Keep the default AD DC property; set the DNS domain name resolution function

Leave the NetBIOS domain name unchanged

The warning message indicates that there is a configuration error and a static IP address is required on AD DC

In the AD domain host building, the IP address should not be set to dynamic, but in our Azure setting, the IP address is assigned to connect to the Azure VNET, and all IaaS VM IP addresses are managed by the Azure structure.
