Zabbix host auto-discovery

Automatic discovery is based on the ip address of the agent side.

The first step is to create an auto-discovery rule:

There is no agent agent, point directly to server or point directly to proxy

Step 2 create an action

Here, the action is created based on discovery, and you want to select "event source".

In the action, we can create an action according to the auto-discovery rule, add the host to a host group and mount it to a template

Zabbix host auto-registration: auto-discovery is based on the ip address. In the zabbix web interface, the host name is the ip address, so it will be inconvenient. If the host registers automatically, the host registers automatically. The host name (Hostname in the agent.conf configuration file) can be displayed on the web interface. Automatic registration requires serveractive (specify server or proxy) Agent to report its metadata to server or proxy to implement Severacticve (specify server or proxy) Server (specify server or proxy) Server (this basic) Include=HostMetadataItem=system.uname through HostMetadataItem=system.uname, and then we create it on the web web page, based on the auto-registration action, because in the above configuration Agent will send metadata to server (or proxy), and after receiving it, server will create the host. In short, auto-registration is relatively simple, you only need to add a line of configuration to the configuration file, and then create an action based on "auto-registration".
