Description

When calling this interface, you need to be aware of:

Before assigning a public network IP address, the instance must be running (Running) or stopped (Stopped).

When an instance of VPC type is bound with EIP, the public network IP cannot be re-allocated.

Only one public network IP address can be assigned to an instance. If the instance already has a public network IP address, an error AllocatedAlready will be reported.

After restarting the instance (RebootInstance) or starting the instance (StartInstance), the new public network IP address takes effect.

When "LockReason": "security" is marked in the OperationLocks of the security-controlled instance, the public network IP address cannot be assigned.

In addition to assigning a public network IP, you can also bind an elastic public network IP (EIP) to the instance. See AssociateEipAddress for more details.
