Windows deploys DHCP services

Lab environment: Windows 2008 R2

1. Right-click "computer" on the desktop and select "Management"

2. Select the role option in the Server Manager window, and then click the add role button.

3. In the add roles wizard window, select the Server role option, then select DHCP Server, and click the next button.

4. Click the "next" button directly in the "DHCP Server" window.

5. Select the network connection used to provide the DHCP service to the client in the "Select Network connection binding" dialog box, and click the "next" button.

6. Enter the domain name of the domain controller in the parent domain and the IP address of the domain controller in DNS. You can enter the public network IP for backup.

7. If the WINS server is not used in the network, select "applications on this network do not require WINS" and click "next"

8, click the "add" button, in the pop-up "add scope" dialog box, specify the IP address range assigned to the client, enter the action domain name, start IP address, end IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, select a good subnet type, and select the "activate this scope" check box. Click OK.

9. Check the scope of the input and click "next".

10. In the "configure DHCPv6 stateless mode" dialog box, select the "disable DHCPv6 stateless mode for this server" radio button, and then click "next".

Select the use current credentials button to authorize the DHCP service. Click "next".

12. In the "confirm installation selection" dialog box, you can view the configuration information of the DHCP server, confirm it, and then click "install".

13. After the installation is completed, the installation will be displayed in the "installation results" dialog box with relevant prompts. Click the "close" button to complete the entire installation and configuration process.
