One-month refund for gog games (GOG announces a new 30-day refund policy to provide refunds for games you have played)

GOG, a store that sells free digital rights management video games, has just updated its refund policy to make customers feel more at ease when buying goods. Asking for a refund is tricky for video games.

For example, Valve only allows customers who play the game for less than 2 hours to apply for a refund. On the other hand, GOG's new refund policy is a dream come true for all gamers. The store announced that customers can get a full refund within 30 days after buying the game, even if they download, start and play the game.

The game seems to have no time limit, so the first question that comes to mind is why someone is prevented from buying the game, completing the game and asking for a refund within 30 days.

Well, the answer is "nothing". However, GOG said it would closely monitor the impact of this major refund policy change and make adjustments accordingly. The digital store also warned customers not to abuse the new policy and always respected the hard work of game developers.

"We are confident that you will make an informed purchase decision, and only in some cases will you not be able to use this updated voluntary refund policy as you expected. This is why there are no restrictions, but we reserve the right to refuse a refund in individual cases. Please respect all the time and hard work of making the game and remember that the refund will not be commented on. If you are not satisfied after finishing the game, please consider sharing your opinions. "

The new refund policy covers games that are still in development (such as Steam pre-emptive experience) and pre-orders, which can be refunded throughout the pre-purchase period and within 30 days of the release date. Unfortunately, for technical reasons, game packages and DLC are non-refundable.
