LG V60 THINQ receives ANDROID 12 updates in this area
When LG announced its withdrawal from the smartphone business last year, it surprised the world. Well, we can tell that this is not a surprising ending for a company that has been bleeding in mobile business for many years. However, other companies in the same situation, such as HTC, still exist. But to be honest, what else can HTC do? LG is not just a smartphone maker, it is also an electronics giant and one of the world's largest display suppliers. As a result, the company has just decided to abandon its loss-making business and focus on revenue-generating businesses. Despite withdrawing from the smartphone market, LG is still providing software support for eligible devices. This clearly covers some of the company's latest versions in the smartphone market. Some devices, such as LG Velvet, have already installed Android 12, and it is time for LG V60 ThinQ to receive the same treatment.
According to the new report, LG V60 ThinQ is updating Android 12. However, it sells only a few devices sold by T-Mobile in the United States. In any case, this is a clear indication that the update is ready and that more variants are likely to be released in the coming weeks. In any case, it's still strange to see LG V60 ThinQ get updated. After all, smartphones are not on LG's list, and it doesn't say which devices will get Android 12 and Android 13. So for those who are still using LG V60 ThinQ, the update is a surprise.
Update from LG V60 THINQ to ANDROID 12 is surprising
Unfortunately, we don't know exactly what Android 12 skin looks like on LG V60 ThinQ. The updated change log is short and vague. In any case, we can look forward to the good things introduced by Android 12, such as the Monet engine, the new permission control, the active microphone icon on the status bar, and so on. Obviously, LG may apply its skin to smartphones. It is worth noting that this update comes with the level of security patch for March 2022. It's not the latest patch, but it's still better than having an older update. After all, LG does not exist in the smartphone market and is still being developed and updated.
If you have a T-Mobile variant of LG V60 ThinQ, the update will take place in the air. This is a 1.17 GB update, so be sure to download it using Wi-Fi to avoid unnecessary data loss. In the next few days, we may see LG extend the update to more units.
