Creation of Dell R730 Server (R630 Magi R720 Magi R620)

Environment: Dell R730 server (also applicable to R720, R630, R620, R420, R530)

Problem: create raid-5 or delete raid

Resolution steps:

1. Restart the server, you can see the interface of Crtl+R, and then press Crtl+R to enter the raid settings interface.

2. Raid setting interface.

3. Move to the top, press F2, select create New VD, and create a raid group

4. Select raid level, press enter, and you can choose different raid level.

5. Press the tab key, adjust to the right to select the hard disk, and press the space bar to select the hard disk.

6, press the tab key, adjust to the next, manually set a VD name (raid-5), here also see the total space size, and then click OK to save.

7. See the raid5 that has been created, the total size of 4.364TB.

8. Press F2 key to initialize raid and select initialization--star init

9. See the 5% progress of initialization, and wait until the initialization is completed. This is the initialization time, depending on the size of the space.

10. After initialization, click OK, restart the server, and complete the creation of raid.

Delete the raid group, move it to the top, press F2, and select-clear config

12. Go to this interface to indicate that raid has been deleted.
