JBuds offers three different EQ settings, all of which can be easily accessed by tapping the left earplug three times in a row. These are JLab Signature (voice and bass support), Balanced (with the same features) and Bass Boost (fully compliant). Looping through them does produce a considerable range of volume effects, because some of the mixing almost disappears. There is no doubt that Signature EQ is the brightest and most existential, but it is not really impressive because the alto is so out of balance that many tracks sound a little boring. Playing something like Ed Sheeran creates an empty center (instead of knocking Ed there), while full band rock and blues produce similar results. The Old Public Enemy repertoire is much better, but there are few instruments in these songs, so you won't miss the reduced texture and frequency of EQ.
