Everyone at AMD was invited to restart GPUOpen online on Friday, May 15th. In the event entitled "Let's build … 2020", AMD will share six video presentations on topics including optimization, development tools and new effects.

It is an initiative launched by AMD in 2016 to promote Gpu Open standards and collaboration and further promote technological development. Gpu is used as the focus of AMD sharing "game development and content authoring software tools and techniques that focus on solving developers' problems".

However, AMD said that it has released the "new digital paint" needed by GPUopen and has now restarted the brand-new website GPUOpen.com. To celebrate the rerelease, AMD released an extended FidelityFX suite, new tools, technologies, and demos.

In order to demonstrate how the new features work, a series of six demonstrations will be held during the "Let's build … 2020" online event. However, Friday's activity focused on four new FidelityFX open source features, FidelityFX screen space reflection, FidelityFX ambient occlusion, FidelityFX HDR mapper and FidelityFX sampler.

"AMD has a rich tradition of supporting open standards and open source. Today, I am pleased to see that we have restarted the GPUOpen website, which shows AMD's continued commitment to openness and innovation. Whether it's excellent development tools, vivid graphics, or our easy-to-use SDKGPUOpen, it puts developers at the heart of our work." Said Andrej Zdravkovic, vice president of software.
