February 16th 12th Nan updated Apple's 24-inch iMac backpack rack
Twelve South updates BackPack for the 24-inch iMac, providing users with a way to hide external drives and other projects connected to the iMac.
BackPack has been around for several years, providing additional physical storage capacity for invisible Mac. Now, Twelve Nan has updated its accessories specifically for the 24-inch iMac.
The new BackPack is made of aluminum and is mounted on the back of the iMac bracket. BackPack uses a ventilated design to minimize weight, creating a small shelf across the width of the bracket and large enough to accommodate several external drives or USB-C hubs to help organize the desktop.
To help prevent the wrong cable from hanging and becoming visible, the BackPack includes an outer band and coated wire twist to secure everything and hide it out of sight.
Although previous BackPack models were sandwiched around the bracket, the 24-inch iMac version uses a two-part saddle clip that can be locked in the oval opening of the iMac bracket. The leather case is transparent, so it won't be so conspicuous from the front, but the shelf itself is white.
