Current environment: no CD-ROM drive, 6.1installer on computer, 2CD

Customers want to add three language packs of ZH_CN.UTF-8,Zh_CN.GB18030,zh_CN.IBM-eucCN.

Before packing:

# locale-a

C

POSIX

En_US.8859-15

En_US.ISO8859-1

En_US

Start:

Extract the 2 installer files and merge them in the ppc directory in the 2 installp

C:\ TDDOWNLOAD\ AIX6106-DVD-01\ installp\ ppc

C:\ TDDOWNLOAD\ AIX6106-DVD-02\ installp\ ppc

Upload it to the target server

Delete .toc under ppc

Generate a new .toc

# inutoc.

# Smitty

-> System Environments

-> Manage Languange Environment

-> Add Addinational Languange Environments

After installation:

Root@rac1:/opt/lan/ppc > locale-a
