Steps to collect minicomputer snap log files

1. Collect snap logs:

Collect SNAP information

Please send me the machine serial number as the prefix file name of snap, such as 06-123567snap.pax.Z.

Please execute with root user rights:

1) # snap-r

A) if you have not done snap before, the system will report an error indicating that there is nothing to clean up. "nothing to clean up" is displayed as shown in the figure.

B) if you have done snap before, display Do you want me to remove these directories (yzone)? Answer "y"

2) # snap-gc

When finished, go to the generated path on the host through ftp (using binary, execute: bin on the command line) and then use the GET command to get the / tmp/ibmsupt/snap.pax.* file (snap.pax.Z or snap.tar.Z)

Open a DOS window in WINDOWS, use the FTP command, and log in with your ROOT username and password.

Note that the received files are stored in C:\ Documents and Settings\ Administrator
