While LibreOffice 6.1is still the recommended version for those who want a more stable and well-tested LibreOffice office suite, LibreOffice 6.2.2 is for cutting-edge users and early adopters who want to learn about the latest features and innovations in the free and open source office suites used by millions of computer users around the world.

"LibreOffice 6.2.2 represents the latest feature of the open source office suite, so it is not optimized for enterprise deployment, because the features of enterprise deployment are not as important as robustness. Users who want a more mature version can download LibreOffice 6.1.5, including months of back-end fixes." Italo Vignoli said.

LibreOffice 6.2.2 includes 55 bug and regression fixes for all core components, only three weeks after the release of the LibreOffice 6.2.1 point release to further stabilize the office suite and prepare for enterprise deployment. The changes included in the LibreOffice 6.2.2 maintenance update can be found in the detailed RC1 and RC2 change logs.

LibreOffice 6.2.3 is expected to be released in mid-April

The next milestone in the LibreOffice 6.2 office suite release cycle is LibreOffice 6.2.3, another maintenance update is expected to be released in mid-April 2019, and four more releases are planned for the LibreOffice 6.2 series, which is expected to end on November 30, 2019 later this year.
