Details of the new features released in the second beta version of Apple iOS 11.3

Apple today released the second developer beta of iOS 11.3, two weeks after the first developer beta of iOS 11.3. Registered developers can download iOS 11.3 from the Apple developer Center, and users who have installed the correct configuration files can upgrade directly to OTA.

New augmented reality experience

ARKit in iOS 11 brings excellent augmented reality technology to hundreds of millions of iPhone and iPad users, making iOS a huge augmented reality platform. Apple continues to innovate on this exciting technology, bringing ARKit 1.5 to developers, bringing augmented reality experiences more realistically into the real world, while providing the tools needed to develop a new generation of augmented reality app.

iOS 11.3 adds dragons, bears, skeletons and lions, bringing a total of 16 different characters.

"moving expressions" are popular with iPhone X users, who record and send "moving expressions" messages with their own voice and facial expressions, and can even make "moving expressions" Kara OK videos. IOS 11.3 has added four "moving expressions" that allow iPhone X users to express themselves as lions, bears, dragons or skeletons. With the A11 bionic chip, the original sense camera in iPhone X can capture and analyze more than 50 different facial muscle movements and then animate them, allowing users to send "moving expressions" messages using 16 different characters.

Business Communication (Business Chat) provides users with a new way to communicate directly with the enterprise in the information app. The feature, which will be tested in the iOS 11.3 public release this spring, will support some companies, including Discover, Hilton, Lowe's and Wells Fargo. With the "business communication" (Business Chat) function, users can easily talk to their business representatives, make appointments, or shop with Apple Pay in the information app. This feature does not disclose the user's contact information to the enterprise and allows the user to terminate the conversation at any time.

Battery and performance

iOS 11.3 adds several new features to show battery performance and recommend whether the battery needs to be repaired. These features can be found in "Settings"-> "Battery" and support iPhone 6 and newer models.

In addition, users can now see if the power management feature first introduced in iOS 10.2.1 to dynamically manage best performance to prevent accidental shutdown has been turned on and can choose to turn it off. This feature can be found in Settings-> Battery and supports iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
