Monoprice offers a 32-inch dark matter 165Hz display for $399

Monoprice has just released a new Dark Matter-branded display for gamers, which can be bought in the United States today for $399.99. The latest Dark Matter display features a 32-inch 2560 x 1440 (QHD) IPS panel and a low profile design with a thin display frame around it. Of course, we'd like to see if it can join the ranks of the best game monitors.

The Dark Matter 32-inch provides a relatively fast 165Hz refresh rate for PC gamers, while Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 gamers can see up to 120 Hz refresh rates through HDMI 2.0 connections. In addition, Monoprice says the monitor supports adaptive synchronization technology to help reduce screen tearing during games. We can imagine that in this case, the company has adopted some form of AMD FreeSync (although unfortunately, it is not specified).

Monoprice 32 inch Dark matter Specification Panel Type IPS screen size / aspect ratio 32 inches / 16:9 refresh rate 165Hz response time 1ms overload maximum brightness 300Nit contrast 1 dint 2001ms energy consumption 60W

The response time listed by Monoprice is 1 ms, the contrast is 1, and the maximum luminance is 300cd/m2. These specifications compete with other 32-inch game displays in the field, and our comments on Monoprice's previous dark matter displays (27-inch 240Hz IPS, 27-inch 165Hz IGZO) show that they are value leaders with admirable performance.
