Google recently launched Android Auto Wireless for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, although the feature is currently limited to North America and it is unclear when it will be available internationally.

One of the shortcomings of Android Auto is that if a compatible smartphone wants to connect to the car entertainment system for data synchronization and transmission, the previous way is through a USB cable.

Android Auto Wireless is committed to fixing this deficiency by introducing WiFi so that Android Auto can be triggered without taking the phone out of your pocket or backpack.

Google said: "The first car accessories to support Android Auto Wireless came from JVC and Kenwood, and we hope to have more products coming out this year. Pixel Series, Nexus 5X/6P devices are currently supported in North America. "

Google also said it would add support for more devices, including Huawei's newly released P20 Pro and Samsung's Galaxy S9 series.
