A new feature on Google Play makes it easier for you to find applications

Owners of Android devices have access to the most diverse collection of applications in the industry. Google Play constantly updates new features to make it easier for you to find content. The company is constantly trying to find the best balance between maximum security and rapid discovery of the information needed.

The next improvement to Google Play is the integration of new search filters. Thanks to it, users will be able to find and install compatible applications on their devices more quickly. This feature is useful for Android, but it also applies to owners of Wear OS watches and Android TV devices.

The new option allows you to specify the devices you plan to install on the application when you search for the application. When you connect Wear OS and Android TV hardware to your account, you will see a drop-down menu directly below the search box.

According to 9to5google, in the "your device" section, you will see three specific options, namely "this device", "Android TV" and "watch". The new panel appears only if you enter a specific query in the Google Play search box. It is useful to accurately filter the versions of applications that are suitable for different devices.

Finding an application on the small screen of a watch can be a daunting task. Innovative filters will also improve the performance of Android TV and encourage developers to create more content for the platform.
